Nutrition is the physical and biochemical action by which a being use food to bear its existence. It includes absorption, assimilation, production, biogenesis, exocytosis and disposal. Nutrition is one of the most crucial facets of life, without it no life as we know it would be impossible to subsist. The three branches of nutrition are: digestive, respiration and primary production. The three branches of Nutrition are also interconnected. Feeding, growing and reproducing are all inherent aspects of Nutrition. In plants there are three main types of nutrition. They are: homotrophic nutrition, heterotrophic nutrition and nutritive components. In this article I'll concentrate on the first two.
