Buckle Up Before You Bail: Ride Aventon Recalls Sinch.2 E-Bikes

## E-bike riders, hold on to your handlebars! Ride Aventon is reviving its popular Sinch.2 folding e-bikes due to a potential hazard that could cause you to take an unexpected tumble.

What's the issue? The Sinch.2's motor may exhibit surprising bursts of acceleration, leading riders to lose control and crash. While there have been no recorded injuries, it is clearly not a risk worth taking.

If you own a Sinch.2 (about 2,300 were sold between April and August 2023), Aventon recommends that you stop using it immediately. The good news is, there's a free solution! Authorized Aventon dealers can deliver a software update to fix the glitch in your e-bike's motor.

Here's how to return your Sinch.2 to safe riding condition:

Don't ride your bicycle! Park carefully and resist the impulse to zoom around until the correction is complete.

Contact Aventon. Call them at 866-300-3311 or send an email to info@aventon.com.

Schedule a free repair. An authorized Aventon dealer will refresh your bike's firmware, preventing any sudden acceleration.

In the meantime, you can check Aventon's website for updates or look into some other e-bikes that won't turn your journey into a crash. Always prioritize safety on the road (or sidewalk). Enjoy your cycling (and stay careful)!
