Chapter 1: The Tipping Point

Dave loved two things in life: his car and his phone. The problem? They refused to get along. Every time he tried to balance his phone on the dashboard, it would either slide into the abyss of his passenger seat or launch itself at his face during sharp turns.

Dave’s best friend, Mike, borrowed the car. Mike, who still thought "Bluetooth" was a dental condition. Mike, who yanked the phone out sideways like he was starting a lawnmower.  

The holder, loyal to the end, held on—but the dashboard did not. A chunk of it came off, sticky pad still attached.  

Mike blinked. "Uh… your car’s molting?"  

Dave cradled the broken piece. "You monster."  

Chapter 4: Redemption  

After a brief mourning period (and superglue), Dave ordered another holder—this time, with a vent mount option. Because even true love needs a backup plan.  

Now, his phone stays put, his dashboard is (mostly) intact, and Mike is banned from touching anything in the car. Ever.  

Moral of the story? Gravity mounts are unshakable. Friends? Less so.
