Harley-Davidson 2024 Motorcycle Recall: What You Need to Know

Harley-Davidson has issued a recall for several of its 2024 motorcycle models, including the FLHX, FLHXSE, FLTRX, FLTRXSE, and FLTRXSTSE. The issue? A potential electrical short that could lead to power failure while riding.

#### The Problem:

The voltage regulator output wire is positioned in a way that it may rub against the crankcase corner. Over time, this friction can wear down the wire, leading to exposure and, in some cases, a short circuit.

#### Why It Matters:

If the wire shorts out, it could cause:

- Loss of electrical power: This could lead to systems failing mid-ride.

- Drive power loss: Worst case, you could experience a complete stall, putting your safety at risk.

#### What Harley-Davidson Is Doing:

Harley-Davidson is addressing the issue by:

- Inspecting the affected models.

- Repositioning or securing the voltage regulator output wire to avoid further contact with the crankcase.

#### What Should You Do?

If you own one of the recalled models, contact your local Harley-Davidson dealer immediately. They’ll inspect and fix the issue free of charge. It’s crucial to act fast, especially if you’ve noticed any electrical issues already.
